Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 20, 2026

Last Updated: September 20, 2026

1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Drivly: DMV Practice Test ("Drivly," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Drivly mobile application and related services. Drivly helps users prepare for U.S. learner permit knowledge tests with state-specific practice, explanations, official-source references, review activities, and mock tests.

Drivly is designed to work without a user account. Much of your learning information is intended to remain on your device. Information stored only on your device is not collected by us unless a feature transmits it to us, such as an issue report, content update request, diagnostics, or analytics event.

2 Scope

This Policy applies to the Drivly iPhone application, the services used to deliver State Pack content and updates, and communications or issue reports submitted through the App. It does not govern third-party websites or services that you choose to open, including official state agency websites or Apple services, which are governed by their own policies.

3 Information Drivly Handles
3.1 Information Stored on Your Device
The current product design stores the following information locally so the App can provide learning features and work offline:
  • Your selected state, coarse age group, and optional planned test date.
  • Practice, diagnostic, review, and mock-test progress, including answers, attempts, scores, knowledge-point status, weak-point queues, and recent mock-test history.
  • The current session, learning-plan state, State Pack version, and content update status.
  • A random installation identifier used to distinguish this App installation without requiring a name, email address, or login.
  • Issue reports waiting to be sent when the device is offline.

Local information generally remains on your device until you delete it in the App, erase the App, reset your device, or replace the device. Because the current version does not provide an account or cross-device synchronization, uninstalling the App or changing devices may cause local progress to be lost.

3.2 Information That May Be Sent to Drivly

Product and usage data. Drivly may receive a random installation ID, selected jurisdiction, coarse age group, State Pack and App versions, session mode, feature events, and question and knowledge-point IDs. This information is kept in service systems and used to operate the App, understand completion and reliability, improve learning flows, and prevent abuse.

Issue reports. When you report a content issue, Drivly may receive the question ID, knowledge-point ID, state, State Pack and App versions, report reason, optional note, and issue ID. This information is kept in the issue-report system and used to investigate and correct inaccurate, outdated, unclear, or missing content.

Diagnostics. Drivly may receive crash and performance information, device model, operating-system version, and technical logs. This information is kept in diagnostics systems and used to maintain stability, troubleshoot failures, and protect service integrity.

Content update data. Drivly may receive the State Pack version, update requests, integrity results, and ordinary network information such as an IP address. This information is kept in hosting or content-delivery systems and used to deliver and verify approved content updates.

Communications. If you contact support, Drivly receives the information you choose to provide. This information is kept in the support email account and related support records and used to respond to your request and maintain a support record.

Subscription information. Drivly may receive the subscription product, trial and entitlement status, purchase, renewal, expiration, cancellation, and restoration status, and transaction identifiers provided by Apple. This information is kept in the App and Apple systems and used to provide, verify, restore, and manage paid access.

When analytics is used, Drivly does not intentionally transmit full question text, full optional issue-report notes, or copies of official source material.

3.3 Information Drivly Does Not Intentionally Request
  • Your name, personal email address, phone number, postal address, driver license number, Social Security number, immigration status, or exact date of birth, except for contact information you voluntarily provide when contacting support.
  • Precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, text messages, call logs, or data from other apps.
  • Advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking or information used for targeted advertising.

Do not include sensitive personal information in an optional issue-report note or support message. If you send information that is not needed to resolve the request, we may delete or redact it where reasonably possible.

3.4 Information Processed by Apple

Apple processes App Store downloads, payments, subscription enrollment, free trials, renewals, cancellations, refunds, payment credentials, device information, and certain diagnostics under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Drivly may receive subscription product information, trial and entitlement status, renewal or expiration status, cancellation or restore status, and transaction identifiers needed to provide paid access. Drivly does not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details.

4 How We Use Information
  • Provide state-specific diagnostics, practice, explanations, review, mock tests, progress, and offline functionality.
  • Remember settings and learning progress on the device.
  • Deliver, verify, and troubleshoot approved State Pack updates.
  • Verify subscription status, provide paid access, and restore eligible purchases.
  • Investigate content reports and correct questions, explanations, sources, or images.
  • Measure feature reliability and aggregate learning-flow performance.
  • Detect abuse, secure the service, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable law.
  • Communicate with you when you contact support or when a material service or policy notice is required.

We do not use learning activity or issue reports for targeted advertising. We do not use the App to make decisions about licensing eligibility, insurance, employment, credit, or any other legal entitlement.

5 Legal Bases Where Applicable

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we process information as needed to provide the service you request, to pursue legitimate interests such as service reliability, security, and content quality, to comply with legal obligations, or with your consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, but doing so may prevent the affected feature from working.

6 How We Disclose Information
We may disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the following purposes:
  • Legal and safety reasons. Government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or service integrity.
  • Business changes. A successor or potential successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
  • With your direction. Other disclosures that you specifically request or authorize.

Drivly does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The current product contains no advertising. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices before the change applies.

7 Data Retention
7.1 Local Information

Local learning progress remains on the device until you use the App's delete-progress function, erase the App, or otherwise remove the device data. Deleting all local progress removes the local installation identifier, learning records, and queued issue reports from the App's local storage, subject to ordinary iOS behavior.

7.2 Information Sent Off Device

We normally retain server-side analytics, diagnostics, content-issue reports, subscription entitlement records, support communications, and ordinary network logs for up to 24 months from collection or the last relevant interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, protect security, or maintain required transaction records. Backup copies may remain for up to an additional 90 days before being deleted or overwritten. Apple retains payment and subscription records under its own policies and legal obligations.

8 Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including protections for data in transit and access controls for service systems. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9 Your Choices and Rights
9.1 Device Controls
  • Change supported settings inside the App.
  • Delete local progress through Settings, subject to the released App's deletion behavior.
  • Remove the App to delete its local container from the device, subject to iOS behavior and any separate information already sent to Drivly.
  • Decline optional issue-report text and avoid sending a report.
  • Control Apple-provided diagnostic sharing through iOS settings where available.
9.2 Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live and whether the applicable law covers Drivly, you may have rights to know or access information, request correction or deletion, receive a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, opt out of sale or sharing, and receive equal service after exercising a privacy right. Submit requests to support_drivly@thematrixapp.com. We may need information sufficient to locate the relevant record and verify the request. Because Drivly does not require an account, we may be unable to associate server-side records with a person beyond an installation, transaction, or issue identifier.

10 California Privacy Notice

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Drivly, California residents may exercise the rights described above. During the preceding 12 months, the categories that may have been collected are identifiers such as a random installation ID, transaction identifier, and IP address; commercial information such as subscription product and entitlement status; internet or electronic activity; device and diagnostics information; coarse age-group information; and user-provided issue-report content. These categories are used and disclosed for the operational purposes described in this Policy. Drivly does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

11 Children and Teen Users

Drivly: DMV Practice Test has an App Store content rating of 4+ and may be used by minors. A user must be at least 4 years old, and anyone below the age of legal majority where they live may use the App only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Drivly is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information to us, contact support_drivly@thematrixapp.com so we can investigate and delete it as required.

12 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect service, legal, or security changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects how information is handled. Continued use after an update takes effect is subject to the updated Policy, except where consent is required.
